“…One Basket”

This is a pictorial example of the old adage: "Don’t put all your eggs in one basket".  Like all my drawings it is done on white paper.  The background is charcoal and the eggs are rendered in graphite pencil.  To get the most three-dimensional look possible, I always set up my still lifes in the studio and draw directly from life.  After a week, the smell from the broken egg was giving me incentive to complete this one as quickly as possible.
