"Hard Miles" The themes for my western artwork usually comes from memories of working on my grandfather’s ranch in Wyoming. The area was full of hard working authentic cowboys. Their hands eventually paid the price for this rough lifestyle. I often "zoom in" on my subjects, rendering just enough to tell the story. The viewer's imagination can fill in the rest. In this drawing, the old cowboys hands on the saddle horn give a hint at what the rest of him may look like.
